NUMBER 5: LAKES
I think I can speak for every Minnesotan about the love of lakes! Growing up in central Minnesota, hitting the lake in the summer was something we did frequently. I am fortunate enough to have friends who live on lakes which allows me to enjoy them. This picture below was from a hot summer day with my good friends I met during my freshmen year of college at NDSU. Scott, Collin, Brandon, and Garrett.

NUMBER 4: THE PEOPLE
We've all heard of "Minnesota nice." I truly believe that our state has the nicest people. People in these photos below are a prime example of the many giving people of Minnesota. I love this state.

NUMBER 3: MINNESOTA SPORTS
My three favorites: Vikings, Wild, and Twins are the reason I love Minnesota Sports. EVEN THOUGH they seem to always get our hopes up and crush us with defeat, every Minnesotan will come back for the next season of play.

NUMBER 2: FOUR SEASONS
My number two is our beautiful four seasons! (It's funny as I write this during the summer, wondering if this would be my number two in the thick of winter!) But really, I love the variety of seasons that Minnesota has to offer. The fall is beautiful, snow is cool in the winter, spring gives us hope that winter is finally over, (until we get a May snow storm) and the summers are amazing out on the water or poolside.

NUMBER 1: SAINTS FIELD
Some of you reading this may have never visited Saints Field in Dassel, MN. Pictures unfortunately don't do it justice. I may be a little biased, you can thank my father for that, but this is hands down the greatest amateur baseball field in the state! Maintained by my dad, Mark Forsman and Cole Flick, I grew up down at the ball park. I've played hundreds of games on this field. 2017 was the first summer I didn't play for the town baseball team, the DC Saints. I miss it. It's tough being away from the game you love and also being away from a beautiful diamond. For players that still get the chance to play at Saints Field, don't take it for granted.
